The Photo-Voice Study
The Photo-Voice Study The study aims at
  • Identifying and describing the multi-level factors that affect daily adherence to PrEP among young women
  • Identifying and describing the multi-level factors that affect persistence to PrEP among young women
The design is a qualitative descriptive study. We will use Photovoice and in-depth interviews as data collection methods. Photovoice is a community-based participatory research method  where people identify, represent, and engage their community using photography and critical reflection. During Photovoice projects, people use photographs and stories to highlight salient personal, shared, and structural issues with others. Through the discussion of photographs, individuals are able to communicate specific aspects of an experience and the realities depicted in the photograph.
