IRDO has vast experience in providing HIV Testing and Services in Kenya having rolled out these services since 2005. Throughout this period we have reached out to the general population including youth, couples and their family members. We have also targeted Key Populations who are believed to be the most at risk of HIV infection for instance Fisher-folk, FSWs, PWIDs, and MSM.
HTS among the general population is meant for early knowledge of HIV status and access to care for those found to be HIV positive, while those tested negative can take precautions to avoid getting infected in future. HTS for Key population is offered as a minimum package alongside other sexual reproductive health services like STI screening & treatment, family planning, HIV care & Treatment, PMTCT among others.
IRDO is the largest provider of HTC services in Nyanza Province.
